This article will cover customizing your web orders integration to support out-of-state taxable or non-taxable orders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Revel POS system is the master system for calculating taxes for all orders, including web orders. Your shopping cart may have a different tax rate, but Revel will determine how taxes are applied to web orders. If you have out-of-state, non-taxable orders, Revel will still tax the web order as in-state based on your local POS tax configuration. To overwrite Revel, we will need to customize your integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All out-of-state orders are nontaxable.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. If all out-of-state orders are non-taxable, we can customize your online out-of-state orders to be tax-exempt.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Some out-of-state orders are taxable.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. If some of your out-of-state orders are taxable, you’ll need to set up custom dining options with each of the states’ tax rates, and we would need to customize your integration to use this dining options tax rate assigned to each state.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
